Public terms
Clear scope.
No hidden promises.
These terms describe the Codex Cortex website, the public release-authority MCP and any future public plugin distribution. They do not create a paid service, account relationship or service-level agreement.
01 / The service
Information and advisory assistance.
The website explains Codex Cortex. Cortex software is intended to help people and Codex establish authority boundaries, choose workflows and evaluate evidence. The public MCP supplies signed release, compatibility, withdrawal, schema and profile information.
The public MCP is read-only and authless. It is not a repository host, project workspace, account service or source-code processor.
02 / Responsibility
Assistance is not a correctness guarantee.
Codex Cortex provides software and advisory assistance. It does not guarantee that generated code, analysis, decisions or project outcomes are correct, secure, complete or fit for a particular purpose.
You remain responsible for reviewing changes, protecting credentials, following repository and organisational rules, and deciding whether to accept, deploy or rely on an outcome. Signed release metadata proves publisher authority and artifact relationships; it does not prove that every project use is suitable.
03 / Availability and use
Public access has practical limits.
Do not misuse the website or MCP, interfere with their operation, evade reasonable rate limits, or use them to distribute harmful traffic. The public service may reject malformed or excessive requests.
Availability is not guaranteed. Releases may be updated or withdrawn through a higher signed authority epoch. Clients are expected to verify signatures, hashes and downgrade protection rather than treating network availability alone as authority.
04 / Software distribution
Distribution terms travel with the software.
If a Codex Cortex plugin or other software is publicly distributed, any license or distribution terms included with that package govern the software itself. These website terms do not choose a software license, transfer ownership, or grant rights beyond terms supplied with the distributed package.
OpenAI Codex, Cloudflare and other third-party products remain governed by their own terms and technical limits.
05 / Privacy and contact
Questions belong on the public support route.
See the privacy notice for the website and public MCP data boundary. For support or security concerns, use the support page.
